Disk Specifications

Ads must be in Mac format only. We accept the following media: CD-ROM, DVD and floppy disk. We support the following programs: QuarkXPress 8.0, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Illustrator CS4 and InDesign CS4 (earlier versions also) and the following formats: .eps, .tif, .jpg, and high-resolution .pdf. Include all graphic files and fonts, along with a printed list of what is on the disk. DPI 300, line screen 133. A client-approved color proof of the ad must be supplied.

*Rainbow, laser or color print is not a true color proof of your advertisement and cannot always be matched on press.

Images

Must be in CMYK format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Illustrator files must have all type converted to graphic. (In Illustrator the command is type/create outlines.)

*Any file manipulation or scans will result in a minimum charge of $100.

FTP Upload instructions

(This MUST be accessed using a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, etc.)

1.  Before uploading your file/artwork please be sure the following is correct:

• The file name being uploaded contains client name & issue it is running in. (Ex: ABCStoreMar08.pdf or XYZFishShopAquatics.sit etc.) 

• The file name has not exceeded 20 characters. (This helps avoid corrupt files)

• ALL of the artwork is 300dpi (hi-res); CMYK (if color) & the dimensions of the ad matches the proper specs for the ad running. (See specs above)   

2.  You may now upload your artwork - login to the web address below:

3.  Email the uploaded file name & a lo-res proof to jdzinski@petbusiness.com (This step is VERY important – we can’t run the ad without confirmation of your file name)
